Blue Banyan has five principal business areas : Meditation, Yoga, Bodywork, Remedies and Herbal Products.

Meditation

Our specialised range of meditation products, began life over a decade ago and has grown into what we believe to be the most comprehensive range of high quality meditationproducts available from one retailer. All of the core textile products - meditation cushions and mats - as well as our wooden meditation stools are made by us in the United Kingdom to our own design. We aim with our range to meet every individual meditation need - meditation is for everyone and we aim with our range to enable everybody to meditate successfully and in comfort whatever their physical limitations or level of experience.

Yoga

Over time it became clear that our meditation customers were also interested in sourcing yoga products from us - after all, meditation is an integral part of yoga practice for many people and yoga is the route by which many people come to meditation (and, in fact, vice versa). So, a few years ago, we began catering to our customers' yoga needs mindful of the need to carry over into that area the high standards of service and product quality that our meditation customers had rightly come to expect. We now carry a comprehensive range of high quality yoga and Pilates products (recognising the yoga/Pilates crossover), many of which are equally suitable for practitioners of other disciplines such as T'ai Chi (Yoga Designs).

Bodywork

This area of our business concerns products designed for use by professional therapists. For practitioners of shiatsu, Thai massage and other floor-based bodywork we offer a top quality range of padded textile mats made by us to our own design as well as a range of appropriate professional clothing (Shiatsu Designs). Our interval timers are highly rated by Reiki practitioners and therapists of many kinds find our range of mats and supports invaluable. We plan to grow this area of our business over time as we develop products of the right quality and real usefulness.

Remedies

Our Remedies range includes Ayurvedic preparations, ear candles and neti pots, herbal products and incense with therapeutic indications.

Herbal

We have a select range of herbal products made and designed by us including lavender eye pillows, heat cushions and head pillows filled with organic buckwheat hulls and organic lavender - once you've slept on one of these pillows you'll never buy another conventional pillow!
